Interior Design Project – Mountain Lakes Residence II
We were excited to help a young family moving from Manhattan to the suburbs turn their charming 100-year-old house in Mountain Lakes, NJ, into a comfortable and inviting home. The project focuses on the first floor, covering the foyer, living room, and dining room.
The family loves a traditional style, which drew them to this house in the first place. Maintaining the original woodwork and detailing was very important to them.
Foyer
Living Room
Yet, they dreamt of a cozy living room anchored by a stunning blue velvet sofa and wanted to incorporate several cherished antiques and sentimental art pieces throughout the space.
BEFORE
Fireplace
By adding custom built-in millwork next to the fireplace, it helped to anchor the space and enhance the fireplace wall.
Dining Room
With a toddler in the family, the design needed to be both stylish and practical, balancing elegance with everyday functionality.
